Removal & Installation (Manual Transmission)

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove shift handle. Remove cup holder. Remove screws from center console trim plate. Remove trim plate. Open storage compartment cover. Remove storage compartment. Remove nuts from rear of center console.
  3. Disconnect electrical connectors. Remove center console. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten screws and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
