Removal & Installation

NOTE: The defroster actuator is located on the bottom left side of the HVAC module, near accelerator pedal. See Fig 1.
  1. Remove the left side and lower instrument panel sound insulators. See Fig 2. Disconnect the vacuum connector from the defroster actuator. Remove the actuator rod retaining clip. See Fig 3. Remove the actuator rod from the defroster door lever. Firmly pull on the defroster actuator in order to remove the actuator from the HVAC module.
  2. Install the defroster actuator. Ensure that the retaining tab locks into place. Install the actuator rod to the defroster door lever. See Fig 3. Install the actuator rod retaining clip. Connect the vacuum connector to the defroster actuator. Install the left side and lower I/P instrument panel sound insulators. See Fig 2.
