Test D: Air Delivery Improper

NOTE: For circuit reference, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and/or WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  1. Did you review the DESCRIPTION & OPERATION  and perform SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS? If so, go to next step. If not, see SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  2. Turn ignition on. Turn blower motor switch to OFF position. If blower motor is off, go to next step. If blower motor is on, go to TEST E: BLOWER MOTOR ALWAYS ON .
  3. Place blower motor switch in each position. If blower motor responds to any command, go to next step. If blower motor does not respond at all, go to TEST F: BLOWER MOTOR INOPERATIVE .
  4. If blower motor operates in all positions, go to next step. If blower motor does not operate in all positions, go to TEST G: BLOWER MOTOR MALFUNCTION .
  5. Start engine. Set blower motor switch in maximum speed position. Set mode switch in each position. If airflow is sufficient from correct outlets in each mode, problem is intermittent. Check wiring and connections. If airflow is not sufficient from correct outlets in each mode, see VACUUM CONTROL SYSTEM  under SYSTEM TESTS.
