HVAC Control Assembly: Removal

  1. Remove the left instrument panel sound insulator. Remove the knee bolster trim panel. Remove the instrument cluster trim plate. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
  2. Remove the HVAC control assembly retaining screws. Depress the HVAC control assembly retaining tabs and remove the HVAC control assembly from the instrument panel. See Figure. Disconnect the vacuum harness connector from the HVAC control assembly. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the HVAC control assembly.
