Evaporator Tube: Installation

  1. Install a new O-ring seal. Install the evaporator tube to the condenser. See Figure. Install the air intake resonator (2.2L models), or the lower radiator hose (4.3L models).
  2. Install a new O-ring seal. Install the evaporator tube to the evaporator. Install the evaporator tube clip and screw to the accumulator.
  3. Install the battery. Evacuate and recharge the refrigerant system. See RECOVERY, EVACUATING & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING.
