Procedure To Learn A Smooth 4-3 Coastdown & Part Throttle 4-3 Kickdown
NOTE:
Transmission fluid temperature must be above 110°F (43°C).
Use the following steps to have the TCM learn the UD shift volume.
- At a vehicle speed between 40-60 MPH, perform repeated 4-3 kickdown shifts.
- Repeat step 1 until the UD volume becomes somewhat stable and the shift becomes smooth.
