Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the TCM electrical connectors (2) to the TCM.
  2. Install the TCM to the cover.

  3. Using the alignment tabs (1), install the cover and module to the radiator shroud.

  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

  5. Install the TCM cover bolts (1) to the radiator shroud.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery)Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) in Engine Electrical.
  7. Reprogram the TCM. Refer to Transmission Control Module Reprogramming Procedures .
