Installation Procedure

  1. Install the starter/generator stator.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the starter/generator stator stud.

    Tighten:  Tighten the stud to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

  4. Fig 1: View Of Starter.Generator Stator & Studs (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2)

  5. Install the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L Engines) or Transmission Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) in Automatic Transmission - 4L60-E/4L65-E.
