Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the energy storage box (ESB) intermediate cover. Refer to Energy Storage Box (ESB) Intermediate Cover Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) .
  2. Remove the tie strap.
  3. Disconnect the temperature sensor electrical connector.
  4. Remove the temperature sensor screw (1).
  5. Remove the temperature sensor (2) from the ESB battery.
