Disconnect Procedure

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) .
- Open the rear door.
- Remove the energy storage box (ESB) access panel.
- Rotate the battery disconnect key to the horizontal position.
- Raise the rear seat.
- Remove the plastic retainers from the ESB trim cover (1).
- Remove the ESB trim cover.
- Disconnect the 42-volt positive/negative cable electrical connector (4).
