Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the service disconnect power cable. Refer to Energy Storage Box (ESB) Service Disconnect Power Cable Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) .
  2. Remove the maxi-fuse. Refer to Energy Storage Box (ESB) Maxi-Fuse Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) .
  3. Cut the tie straps securing the power cable to the energy storage box (ESB).
  4. Remove the service disconnect power cable nut at the service disconnect switch.

  6. Remove the service disconnect power cable from the fuse holder and service disconnect switch.
