Removal Procedure

Remove the energy storage box (ESB) intermediate cover. Refer to Energy Storage Box (ESB) Trim Cover Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) .
Remove the service disconnect power cable nuts (1) from the high current connector (HCC) and the service disconnect switch.
Remove the service disconnect power cable (2) from the HCC and service disconnect switch.
