Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the energy storage box (ESB) carrier (3). Refer to Energy Storage Box (ESB) Carrier Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) .
  2. Disconnect the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) outlet adapter (2) from the ESB carrier.
  3. Disconnect the HVAC outlet adapter from the vehicle body (1).

  5. Remove the HVAC outlet adapter.
