Installation Procedure

  1. Position the battery vent hose assembly (1) to the ESB as noted during removal.
  2. Connect the battery vent hose to the batteries.
  3. Connect the battery vent hose to the air duct hose (2).
  4. Engage the retainers (3) securing the battery vent hose.

  6. Install the ESB intermediate cover. Refer to Energy Storage Box (ESB) Trim Cover Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) .
