Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the energy storage box (ESB). Refer to Energy Storage Box (ESB) Service Disconnect/Connect (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) .
  2. Remove the ESB intermediate cover. Refer to Energy Storage Box (ESB) Intermediate Cover Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) .
  3. Disconnect the appropriate battery resistor electrical connector (1).

  5. Remove the appropriate battery power cable nut (4) and cable (5).
  6. Remove the appropriate battery resistor connector (2).
