Removal Procedure

Remove the energy storage box (ESB) intermediate cover. Refer to Energy Storage Box (ESB) Intermediate Cover Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) .
Remove the ESB fan. Refer to Energy Storage Box (ESB) Fan Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) .
Remove the screws (1) securing the air duct hose (2) to the fan (3).
Remove the air duct hose (2) from the fan (3).
