Installation Procedure

  1. Install the battery insulator, if necessary.
  2. Install the auxiliary battery.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install battery hold down retainer and bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  4. Connect the auxiliary positive battery cable (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

  5. Snap the auxiliary positive battery cable cap closed.

  7. Connect the auxiliary battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) .
