Installation Procedure

Install the auxiliary battery relay.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Install the auxiliary battery relay nuts.
Tighten: Tighten the nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

Connect the auxiliary battery relay electrical connector (1).

Install the auxiliary battery positive cable to the auxiliary battery relay.
Install the auxiliary battery positive cable nut.
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

Position the boot to cover the stud.
Install the auxiliary battery positive cable to the auxiliary battery relay.
Install the auxiliary battery positive cable nut (2).
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
Position the boot (3) to cover the stud.

Connect the auxiliary battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) .
