Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disconnect the auxiliary battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) .
  2. Reposition the boot.
  3. Remove the auxiliary positive battery cable nut.
  4. Remove the auxiliary positive battery cable from the auxiliary relay.
  5. Remove the auxiliary positive battery cable clip from the battery tray.

  7. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  8. Remove the auxiliary cable clip bolt from the frame.

  10. Remove the starter lead nut.
  11. Remove the auxiliary positive battery cable from the starter stud.

  13. Remove the auxiliary positive battery cable.
