Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

Disconnect the auxiliary battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) .
Loosen the auxiliary battery positive cable bolt.
Remove the auxiliary battery cable clip from the wheelhouse inner panel.
Remove the auxiliary battery cable clip from the frame.
Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

Remove the starter lead nut.
Remove the auxiliary positive battery cable from the starter solenoid stud.

Remove the auxiliary battery negative cable bolt.

Remove the battery cable retainer nut.
Remove the auxiliary positive cable from the retainer.

Remove the auxiliary battery cable.
