Diagnostic Aids
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Savana Special, 2002 GMC Savana Camper Special, 2002 GMC Savana, 2002 Chevrolet RV Cutaway, and 2002 Chevrolet Cutaway. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The most likely cause for this DTC is the following:
- A mechanical failure causing low cylinder compression.
- A fuel leak at the high pressure fuel injection lines or injection nozzles.
- A fuel injection nozzle stuck closed.
If an injection nozzle is suspected, the injection nozzle can be transferred to another cylinder to determine if the DTC follows the nozzle.
After the repair has been performed, the vehicle may take approximately 30 seconds to return to a stable idle.
