Removal Procedure

- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Remove the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) connector from the crossmember, if equipped with a manual transmission and 2-wheel drive (2WD).
- Disconnect the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer.NOTE: Refer to Heated Oxygen and Oxygen Sensor Notice in Cautions and Notices.
- Disconnect the HO2S electrical connector from the harness (2).
- Remove the HO2S connector from the crossmember, if equipped with a automatic transmission and 2WD.
- Disconnect the CPA retainer.
- Disconnect the HO2S electrical connector from the harness.
- Remove the HO2S connector from the crossmember, if equipped with 4-wheel drive (4WD).
- Disconnect the CPA retainer.
- Disconnect the HO2S electrical connector from the harness.
- Remove the bank 2 HO2S (2).
