Removal Procedure

IMPORTANT:
The crankshaft position (CKP) system variation learn procedure will need to be performed whenever the CKP sensor is removed or replaced.
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- If equipped, remove the engine shield bolts.
- Remove the engine shield.
- Disconnect the CKP sensor electrical connector (5).
- Remove the CKP sensor bolt.
- Remove the CKP sensor.
