Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air conditioning (A/C) compressor. Refer to Compressor Replacement (L18) or Compressor Replacement (LB7) or Compressor Replacement (LR4, LM7, and LQ4) in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
  2. Disconnect the fuel rail pressure sensor (1) electrical connector.

  3. Prior to removal, clean the function block and fuel pressure sensor thoroughly with solvent, such as GM P/N 12377981 (Canadian P/N 10953463) or equivalent.
  4. Using compressed air, thoroughly blow dry the block and sensor.
  5. Remove the sensor and metal gasket from the function block. Discard the gasket.
