Installation Procedure

  1. If a crows foot is used to torque the sensor then special attention to the position of the crows foot in relation to the torque wrench is required.
  2. Install the sensor and a NEW metal gasket to the function block.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. If the crows foot is kept perpendicular (90 degrees) to the torque wrench during the entire tightening procedure, then the torque wrench can be set to the listed torque specification.

    Tighten:  Tighten the sensor to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).

  6. Connect the sensor (1) electrical connector.

  8. Install the A/C compressor. Refer to Compressor Replacement (L18) or Compressor Replacement (LB7) or Compressor Replacement (LR4, LM7, and LQ4) in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
