Installation Procedure

  1. Install the EGR vacuum pump.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the EGR vacuum pump bolts (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  3. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 6.6L.
  4. Install the vacuum line to the EGR vacuum pump.

  5. Install the charged air cooler outer duct to the intake.
  6. Align the mark on the duct (2) with the mark on the turbocharger.
  7. Position the clamp (1) as shown for proper clearance.

    Tighten:  Tighten the clamp to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  8. Install the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
