Installation Procedure

  1. Install the horn switch (2) to the steering wheel (3).

  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Connect the captured screws (1,4) from the horn contact plate (2) to the steering wheel (3).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 5.5 N.m (50 lb in).

  4. Install the horn plunger to the steering column.

  5. Install the inflator module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in SIR.
  6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in SIR.
