Installation Procedure

  1. If necessary, connect the EVAP lines to the canister.

  2. If necessary, install the EVAP canister to the shield, perform the following:
    1. Install the canister to the shield.
    2. Ensure the retaining clip engages on the bottom of the canister.
      NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the EVAP canister nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  4. Connect the canister EVAP line to the fuel bundle line.
  5. Connect the fuel tank EVAP line to the canister.
  6. Connect the EVAP CVS line to the canister.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
