Installation Procedure

  1. Install the EVAP canister purge valve.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

  2. Install the EVAP canister purge valve bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Connect the EVAP purge tube to the purge solenoid.

  6. Connect the EVAP canister purge valve electrical connector (1).
  7. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 8.1L.
