Installation Procedure

  1. Install the insulator (1) onto the EVAP canister purge solenoid (3).
  2. Install the EVAP canister purge solenoid (3).
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the EVAP canister purge solenoid bolt (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 10.5 N.m (93 lb in).

  5. Connect the EVAP canister purge solenoid electrical connector (1).

  7. Install the EVAP line to the canister purge solenoid (1).

  9. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L Engines) or Engine Sight Shield Replacement (6.0L Engine w/RPOs Y91 and Z88) in Engine Mechanical - 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L.
