Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the rear propeller shaft. Refer to Propeller Shaft Replacement - One Piece or Propeller Shaft Replacement - Two Piece in Propeller Shaft.
  3. If required, remove the following:
    1. The main shaft nut
    2. The prop shaft yoke washer
    3. The main shaft washer
    4. The yoke

  4. Remove the rear seal using J 6125-B  (1) and J 23129  (2).
