Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the oil fill plug.

  3. Place a suitable drain pan under the transmission in order to catch the drained transmission fluid.
  4. Remove the oil drain plug.

  5. Remove any old sealant from the transmission housing.
