Installation Procedure

  1. Apply a thin bead of sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480), or equivalent to the oil drain and fill plug threads.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the oil drain plug.

    Tighten:  Tighten the plug to 37 N.m (27 lb ft).

  4. Fill the transmission to just below the bottom of the fill plug hole. Refer to Lubrication Specifications .

  6. Install the oil fill plug.

    Tighten:  Tighten the plug to 37 N.m (27 lb ft).

  7. Lower the vehicle.
