Adjustment & Installation

Install PNP switch onto manual shaft. Install PNP switch retaining bolts, but do not tighten. Position PNP Switch Alignment Tool (J-41364-A) onto PNP switch. Rotate PNP Switch Alignment Tool until upper locating pin is lined up with slot on top of PNP switch. Tighten PNP switch retaining bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 N.m). Install transmission control lever onto manual shaft. Install and tighten transmission control lever retaining nut to 18 ft. lbs. (25 N.m). Lower vehicle. Check switch for proper operation. Repeat procedure as necessary until engine starts in Park and Neutral positions only.
