Removal Procedure

  1. Open the liftgate window.
  2. Support the liftgate window.
  3. Remove the high mount stoplamp spoiler assembly. Refer to HIGH MOUNTED STOP LAMP REPLACEMENT (UTILITY - ENDGATE WINDOW) or HIGH MOUNTED STOP LAMP REPLACEMENT (UTILITY - ROOF MOUNTED) or HIGH MOUNTED STOP LAMP REPLACEMENT (PICKUP) in Lighting Systems.
  4. Disconnect the window defogger electrical connectors, if equipped.
  5. Remove the liftgate window struts. Refer to STRUT REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE WINDOW .
  6. Open the liftgate in order to expose the liftgate window hinges.
  7. Remove the liftgate window hinge pin retainers from the hinge pins.

    Discard the liftgate window hinge pin retainers.

  8. Remove the liftgate window hinge pins.
  9. With an assistant, remove the liftgate window from the liftgate.
