Removal Procedure

  1. Safely support the endgate in the open position.
  2. Remove the endgate bedliner. Refer to PICKUP BOX BEDLINER REPLACEMENT .
  3. Remove the endgate handle. Refer to HANDLE REPLACEMENT - END GATE (UTILITY)  or HANDLE REPLACEMENT - END GATE (PICKUP) .
  4. Disconnect the endgate support cable from the striker bolt through the keyhole slot.
  5. Remove the bolts retaining the endgate latch/support cable assembly to the endgate.
  6. Remove the latch assembly from the endgate.
  7. Remove the latch rod from the slot in the latch assembly.
