Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the handle grip screws.
  2. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE .
  3. Release the liftgate handle rod retainer.

  4. Remove the bolts that retain the liftgate outside handle to the liftgate.

  5. Remove the liftgate outside handle from the liftgate.
