Removal Procedure

Remove the handle grip screws.
Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE .
Release the liftgate handle rod retainer.

Remove the bolts that retain the liftgate outside handle to the liftgate.

Remove the liftgate outside handle from the liftgate.
