Removal Procedure

- Remove the front seat. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT -- JUMP or to SEAT REPLACEMENT -- BENCH in Seats.
- Remove the jack cover from the vehicle.
- Remove the jack from the vehicle.
- Remove the door sill trim plates. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the floor console or cup holder, if equipped. Refer to the appropriate procedure:
- Remove the body side trim panels. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (STANDARD CAB PICKUP) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (EXTENDED CAB PICKUP) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (2-DOOR UTILITY) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (4-DOOR UTILITY) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (CREW CAB) .
- For vehicles with the extended cab with rear side door, remove the C-pillar trim panel. Refer to TRIM REPLACEMENT - THIRD PILLAR (EXTENDED CAB PICKUP W/ REAR SIDE DOOR) or TRIM REPLACEMENT - THIRD PILLAR (4-DOOR UTILITY) .
- Remove the body hinge trim panels. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT HINGE PILLAR and to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - RIGHT HINGE PILLAR .
- Remove the carpet or the mat from the vehicle.
