Removal Procedure

- Remove the rear seat floor filler trim panels. Refer to SEAT BACK FILLER PANEL REPLACEMENT -- REAR in Seats.
- Remove the body side trim panels, as necessary. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (STANDARD CAB PICKUP) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (EXTENDED CAB PICKUP) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (2-DOOR UTILITY) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (4-DOOR UTILITY) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (CREW CAB) .
- Remove the jack from the vehicle.
- Remove the endgate or the liftgate door sill trim plate. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - END GATE or to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE .
- Remove the bolts that retain the cargo tie down hooks to the floor.
- Remove the cargo tie down hooks.
- Remove the rear carpet or the mat from the vehicle.
