Installation Procedure

CAUTION:
In order to avoid personal Injury or vehicle damage when you repair or replace the carpet, use the same thickness and material size as the original installation. Always return the carpet to the original location.
- Install the rear carpet or the mat to the vehicle.
- Install the cargo tie down hooks.NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
- Install the bolts that retain the cargo tie down hooks to the floor.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 35 N.m (26 Ib ft).
- Install the endgate or the liftgate door sill trim plate. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - END GATE or to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE .
- Install the jack to the vehicle.
- Install the body side trim panels, as necessary. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (STANDARD CAB PICKUP) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (EXTENDED CAB PICKUP) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (2-DOOR UTILITY) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (4-DOOR UTILITY) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (CREW CAB) .
- Install the rear seat floor filler trim panels. Refer to SEAT BACK FILLER PANEL REPLACEMENT -- REAR in Seats.
