Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Sonoma, 2003 GMC Jimmy, 2003 Chevrolet S10 Pickup, and 2003 Chevrolet Blazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the seat back to the seat adjuster assembly.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the bolts securing the seat back to the seat adjuster assembly.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the seat back bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Connect the electrical connector for the seat back recliner motor, if equipped.
  4. Install the seat cushion trim cover and pad. Refer to SEAT CUSHION TRIM COVER AND PAD REPLACEMENT (BENCH)  or SEAT CUSHION TRIM COVER AND PAD REPLACEMENT (BUCKET) .
  5. Install the seat back cover and pad. Refer to SEAT BACK COVER AND PAD REPLACEMENT - Front .

  6. Install the seat in the vehicle. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - Bucket .
