Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE REAR DOOR (UTILITY)  or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE REAR DOOR (EXTENDED CAB P/U ONLY) .
  2. Slide the lower latch cover up the latch rod to access the latch rod retainer.

  3. Disconnect the latch rod from retainer on the lower latch

  4. Remove the bolts retaining the lower latch to the door.
  5. Remove the lower latch bolt.
