Installation Procedure

Install the following components if removed:
Install the air deflector to the bumper impact bar. Refer to AIR DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER FASCIA (PICKUPS AND UTILITIES) or AIR DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER FASCIA (OPTIONAL) .
Install the license plate bracket. Refer to LICENSE BRACKET REPLACEMENT - FRONT .
Install the bumper impact bar to the vehicle.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
Install the bolts and the nuts that retain the bumper impact bar to the frame.
Tighten

Tighten the bumper impact bar to the frame bolts to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).

Install the fog lamp connectors, if equipped. Refer to the appropriate procedure in Lighting Systems.
- HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY OR HEADLAMP BULB AND/OR CORNERING, SIDEMARKER, PARK, TURN SIGNAL BULB REPLACEMENT
- FOG LAMP REPLACEMENT -- FRONT (XTREME)
Install the nuts and the bolts that retain the bumper impact bars to the brace.
Tighten

Tighten the bumper impact bar to the brace bolts to 40 N.m (30 Ib. ft).
Install the front wheel opening flare extension, if equipped. Refer to WHEEL OPENING FLARE REPLACEMENT -- FRONT (XTREME) or WHEEL OPENING FLARE REPLACEMENT -- FRONT (ALL EXCEPT XTREME AND ZR5) or WHEEL OPENING FLARE REPLACEMENT -- FRONT (ZR5) in Exterior Trim.
Install the radiator air intake baffle. Refer to AIR INLET GRILLE PANEL REPLACEMENT in Body Front End.
Install the grille. Refer to GRILLE REPLACEMENT (GMC) or GRILLE REPLACEMENT (CHEVROLET) in Exterior Trim.
