Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Sonoma, 2003 GMC Jimmy, 2003 Chevrolet S10 Pickup, and 2003 Chevrolet Blazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Warm body panel with a heat lamp or heat gun to a minimum of 21°C (70°F).
  2. Peel the backing from the front end of the pickup box front molding.

    Important:  Do not touch the adhesive backing.

  3. Press the pickup box front molding to the body.

    Ensure that the molding clips are aligned with the body holes.

  4. Hand roll the pickup box front molding to the body in order to ensure proper adhesion.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

    Tighten 

    Tighten to 2 N.m (18 lb in.)

  5. Install 2 screws to secure the pickup box front molding to the body panel.
