Installation Procedure

  1. Ensure that the painted body surfaces in the tape contact area is clean and dry.
  2. Warm the body panel with a heat lamp to a minimum of 21°C (70°F).

    Important:  Do not touch the adhesive backing.

  3. Peel the backing from the adhesive on the molding.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the molding to the fender with one screw.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the body side molding screws to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

  5. Press the body side molding to the body.
  6. Hand roll the molding to the body in order to ensure proper adhesion.
  7. Install the push pin retainer through the hole in the bottom of the body side molding into the rocker panel retainer.
