Removal (6.6L Engine)

  1. Turn off all lamps and accessories. Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. See Figure .
  2. Raise the vehicle.
  3. If equipped with 4WD, remove the right front tire and wheel.
  4. If equipped with 4WD, remove the right front fender wheelhouse inner panel. See Fig 1 .
  5. Remove the battery positive cable from the starter motor. See Fig 2 .
  6. Remove the solenoid wires.
  7. Remove the starter motor bolts. See Fig 3 .
  8. Remove the starter motor assembly.
