Removal (6.6L Engine)

Turn off all lamps and accessories. Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. See Figure .
Raise the vehicle.
If equipped with 4WD, remove the right front tire and wheel.
If equipped with 4WD, remove the right front fender wheelhouse inner panel. See Fig 1 .
Remove the battery positive cable from the starter motor. See Fig 2 .
Remove the solenoid wires.
Remove the starter motor bolts. See Fig 3 .
Remove the starter motor assembly.
