Fasten Safety Belt Warning

The BCM activates the fasten safety belt audible warning, and also sends a class 2 message to the IPC to illuminate the fasten safety belt indicator when the following occurs:

The ignition switch transitions to RUN.
The seat belt is not buckled and the signal circuit is low.

If the seat belt is buckled while the chime is sounding, the chime stops. If the seat belt is unbuckled after the initial transition to RUN, the chime does not sound.
