Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Sonoma, 2003 GMC Jimmy, 2003 Chevrolet S10 Pickup, and 2003 Chevrolet Blazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Connect the electrical connector and the antenna lead.
  2. Install the radio.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the radio mounting screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

  4. Install the instrument panel accessory trim plate.

    Refer to TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT -- INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ACCESSORY in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

  5. Connect the battery negative cable.
  6. Verify proper radio operation.
