Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the upper control arm from the vehicle. Refer to UPPER CONTROL ARM REPLACEMENT (RWD)  or UPPER CONTROL ARM REPLACEMENT (4WD) .
  2. Install the upper control arm in a vise.
  3. Remove the washers and the nuts from upper control arm shaft.

  4. Remove the upper control arm bushings. Use the J 22269-01  and J 21474-5  .

  5. Remove the upper control arm shaft from the upper control arm.
