Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front coil spring. Refer to FRONT COIL SPRINGS REPLACEMENT .
  2. Remove the lower ball joint from the steering knuckle. Refer to LOWER BALL JOINT REPLACEMENT (RWD)  or LOWER BALL JOINT REPLACEMENT (4WD) .
  3. Remove the lower control arm from the vehicle.
  4. Remove the lower control arm bumper nut.
  5. Remove the lower control arm bumper.
  6. Inspect the lower ball joint for wear, replace as necessary.
